Social Media Specialist

10-20 minutes per week

Twitter gives us direct access to many valuable resources.  When you join our Twitter team you join the @AusDrSpouseNtwk account.  The ADSN Social Media Specialist will Tweet at minimum 3 times per week   We’ll give you all the tools and guidance you need.

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required- knowledge of Twitter helpful.

Social Media Specialist

30 Minutes per week

Facebook is our main conduit for reaching members and others that are interested in our network. The ADSN Social Media Specialist will check our Facebook feed 3 times per week.  If something catches your attention or you come across information that could be useful to our members you share it on the ADSN page.  The Social Media Specialist will post any medical family humour, and relevant information that ADSN member might enjoy. We’ll give you tools and guidance.

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required- knowledge of Facebook helpful.

Social Media Specialist

30 Minutes per week

Instagram- Do you love taking pictures? Set up an account for ADSN on Instagram and start sharing your photos of life married to an Aussie doctor.  The Instagram Social Media Specialist will share 3 photos per week and showcase life of the medical family in Australia.

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required- knowledge of Instagram helpful.

Content Creator

1 Hour per month

The ADSN Content Creator will provide one 500 word article every other month on any subject related to being an Australian Doctor’s Spouse. Topics may include (but not limited to) moving, running the household, exam time, parenting, relationships, support systems, sharing personal advice etc.

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required.

Local Content Creator

3 Hours per month

The ADSN Local Content Creator will provide a (roughly) 500 word write up and a photograph of a local activity they have taken part in.  A Local Content Creator will contribute 1 submission per month with the purpose of showcasing your area from a medical family perspective.  Activities include (but not limited to) a restaurant, a hike, a park, a charity event, a salon, a festival- the possibilities are endless!

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required.

Social Coordinator

3 Hours per month

An ADSN Social Coordinator will organise events for local ADSN members once a month.  Heading to the park, the museum or the beach? Why not invite some people to join you?!  You will create an “Event” on our website and be responsible for managing the logistics.

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required.

Hospital Liaison

4 Hours Total

An ADSN Hospital Liaison will contact the Medical Education Officer, Junior Medical Officer or equivalent at their local hospital(s)  and arrange a meeting.  The Liaison will introduce the hospital to the Australian Doctor’s Spouse Network and request that ADSN information be passed to doctors throughout the hospital.  The Liaison will provide ADSN materials to be handed out at all future hospital orientations and liaise with the hospital if any further action is needed.

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required.

ADSN Local Area Liaison (previously Point of Contact)

3 Hours per month

The Local Area Liaison is the network’s main point of contact for a particular location.  Your name and email address will appear on the website as someone people can contact with questions or concerns.  New spouses moving to the area will contact you for advice and recommendations. The Local Area Liaison will monitor the local forum on the website and ensure information about the area is up to date.

Requires an initial 30 minute Skype training session.  No experience required.
