  • Tao Tao house – In Hawthorn. Awesome Chinese food and has great Yum Cha. Well worth visiting. Has a chef that previously worked at the flower drum. www.taotaohouse.com.au
  • Plume – We have found this Chinese restaurant – and it has been there for many years! The dinners are great but Yum Cha on a Saturday or Sunday are delicious. http://www.plume.com.au/City

  • COOLINGWOOD CHILDRENS FARM – This place is fantastic if you have children! It is very cheap and has lots for them to see and do! They have cow milking, pony rides, BBQ, activities, a family day once a month! You can also organise childrens birthday parties there too! Suburbs

East Melbourne, Richmond, Abbotsford, Collingwood, Fitzroy and Carlton are really close and convenient areas to live in if you want to live close to the city, with an abundance of trendy restaurants, cafe’s, public transport at your fingertips. These areas have good schools and day cares.

The Eastern suburbs – are are really nice area of Melbourne to live, especially if you are looking for a family friendly area. Kew, Hawthorn, Balywn, Mont Albert North, Doncaster, Surry Hills, Box Hill, Camberwell. These areas have good schools, an abundance of parks and walking/biking tracks, and some good cafe’s and restaurants close by. There is the huge Westfield shopping centre in Doncaster, and all the Chinese restaurants you could think of in Box Hill.
