Northern beaches: Pack a picnic or visit one of many cafes for lunch. Swim within the stinger nets from November to May.
Fitzroy Island: Book return ferry in advance and spend the day or weekend. Visit the turtle rehabilitation centre, snorkel, and explore the island.
Port Douglas: Day trip or weekend – Visit the markets and enjoy the beaches.
Kuranda: Full or half day trip – take the short walk to Barron Falls after the rain and visit the butterfly sanctuary.
Bingle Bay/Mission Beach: Day trip – Visit the beaches and enjoy lunch at Bingle Bay Café.
Josephine Falls: Day trip – Beautiful and ease to access swimming hole.
