  • Seasalt Takeaway on First Ave Sawtell does the best sweet potato scallops and fresh seafood.
  • Attitude Burgers has great food and is positioned down at the Jetty Marina… Grab a burger and find a large flat rock to perch on along the break wall (http://attitudeburgers.com.au/). If you’re feeling slightly guilty, you can always take a long walk up Muttonbird Island.
  • The Jetty Strip and First Ave Sawtell are long stretches of assorted eating spots – plenty of range (cuisine & $).
  • If you’re after something special, a short 30min drive will find you in the little town of Bellingen where you can dine at the two-hatted restaurant, No. 2 Oak Street. (http://www.no2oakst.com.au/)
  • Fancy drinking spots were few and far between, however recently they have been popping up over Coffs Harbour.

Things to do with kids

  • Beachstone Cafe in North Sapphire Beach is a must visit. Lots of natural sunlight flowing throughout the entire cafe, a small field& a kids playground with a flying fox attached all within the same compound of the cafe. The adults can sit for coffees/food whilst the kiddies have a play.
  • There’s storytime for kids at the library weekly followed by a craft session. Great place to meet other mums & kids.
